- Q: What order do your effects go in?
This isn't a firm rule, but it is only my personal opinion on what sounds best. guitar - buffer - compressor - tuner - wah - phaser - distortion - overdrive - eq - clean boost (if used for a solo volume boost) - chorus/flanger/phaser (if deeper phase is needed) - delay - reverb - buffer - clean boost (if used for pushing the amp into further overdrive) - amp
- Q: Is the order the same if I use my amp's distortion?
No - you would want to put the following effects in the effect loop of your amp: eq - clean boost (if used for a solo volume boost) - chorus/flanger/phaser (if deeper phase is needed) - delay - reverb - clean boost (if used for pushing the amp into further overdrive)
- Q: What about a volume pedal? Where do I put it?
Put the volume pedal *before* any overdrive or distortion to control the amount of gain. If you want to control the actual volume, put it *after* any overdrive or distortion and before the delay or in the effects loop right before the delay.
- Q: Do you accept any payments besides paypal?
Yes - we can accept credit cards from addresses in the USA and you can send a money order or personal check (will be held until it clears, however) if you wish.
- Q: Can you make my pedal sound like Steve Vai/Satriani/(name your favorite player)?
No, I'm a realist, and I'm not going to lie to ANYONE-especially just to make a few bucks. If you have a small solid state amp with a 10" speaker, it simply isn't going to sound like a vintage Marshall Plexi with greenback speakers. It WILL, however, sound much better with the right equipment. We actually tweak each and every pedal to their limit, to give you the best tone possible with the equipment you have. Of course, good technique can make the worst equipment sound great, and the bad technique can make the best equipment sound terrible.
- Q: What does a rat pedal/ds-1/sd-1/other pedal sound like, and what it sound good with my rig?
Check out www.indyguitarist.com/soundclips for more soundclips. I can't tell you if it would sound good or not with your rig--if in doubt, remember this: good technique can make the worst equipment sound great, and a bad technique can make the best equipment sound terrible.

- Q: What do your mods for ______ pedal sound like?
If you send us your pedal, we will custom tailor mods for your setup, as every guitar and amp sound different from each other and every guitarist's style is different. If you go the DIY route, you can contact us and we will help you create your own personal mod.
- Q: Why don't I sound like the soundclips?
Usually this question comes up from a more noviced guitar player (No offense, just being honest). If I play as usual and then play the same thing left handed, I will sound different. ALOT of tone is in the hands and how you use the equipment. Also, if you are using a 10 watt solid state amp and my soundclip is using a fender twin then it's pretty fair to say you aren't going to get the same tones.
- Q: Will you do a Keeley/Analogman/Monte/etc mod on my pedal?
No - these gentlemen are in business to perform their services. I feel it is not morally right to do that.
- What is the return policy?
You have 7 days from the day you receive your pedal to decide if you like it or not. If you return it, it must contain all shipping and packing material and be in new condition.
- What is the warranty on the pedals?
Lifetime warranty includes parts and labor and return shipping back to you. You are responsible to ship it to us. If we open it up and find repairs that are from misuse, abuse (accidental or not) or neglect than we will not cover the repairs for free. The warranty will transfer to the new owner should you sell the pedal as well.
