Advanced DIY Effect Pedals by Brian Wampler
Description: "How to Design, Customize, and Build Effect Pedals, Advanced version"
The Indyguitarist "How to Modify Effect Pedals" book showed you how to make your pedals sound better by performing easy modifications. The "How to Build Effect Pedals...for beginners" book showed you how to get started building basic circuits that sounded great.
This new book, "How to Design, Customize, and Build Effect Pedals, Intermediate and Advanced Level" will walk you through designing custom circuits for effect pedals that YOU plan, design, and build from the ground up.
This book will teach you everything you need to know to get to the level that most "boutique" pedal builders are at and in MUCH LESS time...most builders and DIY'ers have struggled for years to learn this information, now it's at your fingertips and in a easy to understand language like all IndyGuitarist books.
If you want the tone of the pro's, you need a boutique type pedal to do it. Buying them can get expensive quickly (some boutique pedals sell for over $500 each!) What's a guitarist to do without robbing a bank? BUILD YOUR OWN!!
Written for those who have purchased a previous Indyguitarist 'DIY' book or have electronics experience. Hard copy (book) only, no downloads available.

What our customers are saying

"your books and forum have really inspired me - I use to mess around with pedals some 25 years ago and everything I tried failed to the point where I just gave up.
All the electronic books and magazines that I use to read seemed to make everything sound so complicated. Your books have changed all that and have given me the confidence to once again pick up the soldering iron. I will never look at another distortion pedal the same way again.
Keep up the good work.
Best regards.

Subject: Read your new effects book
Brian,
Finished reading through your book and I have to say, way to go! I think
anyone just getting started in building effects would find this easy to
read, understand and very helpful. I found the first part of the book to
be a good refresher. The last section was interesting for me as I have
never used the Vero board before. I also liked the part of modifying /
adding to pedals as I am getting ready to do just that. The guys who have
been doing this for some time may not find anything new here, but for the
beginner I think it is worth giving it a look at. Once again just my
opinion ;)
Just wanted to pass on my thoughts / impression. Have a good one Brian and
talk with you later.

...I bought both books recently and I must say "THEY ARE GREAT"- "PERFECT", fantastic work, bravo and hats off. I Can't hardly wait to put some of your tricks into play. I'd like to do the Boss MT-2 first, for a friends son that is 16 and an Awesome Player and starting a band.. I look forward to hearing from you and the Best to You and Yours through this Holiday Season. May God Bless..
Sincerely
Capt. D. Keyser

"...I did the mod to my SD-1 and it's still my #1 overdrive. I have a ton of overdrive/distortion pedals and I have used that one in the 5 rigs that I've gone through in the two years I have had it. It sounds like God..."
